Aid & Attendance Pension

An enhanced VA pension that helps pay for long-term care. It is badly under-claimed. General guidance, not a determination.

Did you serve at least 90 days of active duty, with at least one day during a wartime period?

Was your discharge Honorable or General (Under Honorable Conditions)?

If you have an Other Than Honorable discharge or are unsure, answer No and speak with a VA-accredited VSO. The VA may review your discharge circumstances.

Do you need help with daily activities, or are you in a nursing home, assisted living, or largely housebound?

Are your countable income and assets limited (high care costs can offset income)?
